There are certain phrases we all like to hear. Top of the list are: “I love you,” “I forgive you,” and “Let's eat.” Anyone would be happy to hear those words. Think about those phrases, and it seems like they also are a good way to explain the Gospel. God loves you. God forgives you. Let's eat. In Christ, God expresses sacrificial and unconditional love for us. In Christ, God forgives sinners of every kind. And in Christ, God welcomes us all to a feast where everyone who wants to come has a place at the table. During this series, we will look at how the love, grace, and mercy of God offers us a home where we can hear these words spoken to us, and know that God means it.

Most of us have wondered at some point whether we are enough. Scripture says God loves us so many times it is hard to count them all. But do we believe it? We find it hard to love ourselves, so how do we know that God loves us? The Bible doesn’t just tell us that God loves us, it says God loves us unconditionally. God’s love doesn’t depend on what we do, it depends on who God is.
